:: Shoulder

Common problems of the shoulder include disorders of the rotator cuff; shoulder instability (dislocations and separations); fractures of the upper end of the arm (humerus), collarbone (clavicle), and shoulder blade (scapula) and arthritic conditions of the shoulder.

Our specialists treat painful shoulder conditions such as bursitis, tendonitis,
calcium deposition, advanced arthritis, tumors, rotator cuff tears and frozen
shoulder.

:: Elbow

Our surgeons manage painful elbow conditions such as tennis elbow, bursitis, advanced
arthritis, stiff elbow, tumors, and muscle and tendon ruptures. We also manage single and
recurring dislocations of the elbow. This includes fractures which vary from being very simple
to very complex. We treat nerve injuries or compressions around elbow, bone and joint
infections, congenital elbow problems, contractures around the elbow, sports and work-related elbow problems and complex reconstructive problems of the elbow. Our group also performs complex arthroscopic elbow surgery.

Orthopaedic Oncology

Oncology services include diagnoses, evaluation and treatment of benign (non-cancerous)
and malignant (cancerous) tumors of bone, soft tissue and other cancers that have spread
to the bone.

Paediatric Orthopaedics:

Sports medicine

Once perceived as discipline concerned only with repairing athletes' traumatic injuries,
sports medicine is now recognized as a medical science that is expanding the understanding
of the body's integrated response to all forms of physical activity. Our Surgeons can help
you prevent and recover from injuries, whether you are a world class athlete or just slightly
active.

Orthopaedic Trauma

Orthopaedic trauma conditions include fractures and dislocations as well as severe
soft tissue injuries caused by traumatic events. Common orthopaedic traumatic
injuries include femoral and tibial shaft fractures, acetabular and pelvic fractures,
spine and spinal cord injuries, hand and upper extremity injuries, foot and ankle
injuries, among many others.

Physical therapy

Physical therapy (physiotherapy) involves the assessment and treatment of disorders
of the musculo-skeletal and nervous systems causing impaired physical function.
The goal of the physical therapist is to enhance the individual's capacity for functional
movement, thereby maximizing independence.

X-ray

X-rays allow your physician to evaluate problems of the bone and joints. Very often during
the course of your treatment or evaluation for an orthopaedic condition your physician may
require X-rays to evaluate your progress or to determine the cause of a problem. At our clinic diagnostic X-ray facilities are available at each office location for prompt evaluation and patient convenience.

These are continually staffed whenever any doctor is consulting, which covers most of the
week.

Patients may be referred for x-rays from outside. X-rays can therefore be arranged prior to consultations.

Appointments for X-ray are not necessary.
